Elise Delores Grant was born November 13, 1921 in Sylvania, Georgia. Her hometown was Savannah, Georgia. According to a family member, she was a graduate of Savannah State University School of Nursing. LT Grant was not listed in the station hospital’s 3rd annual bulletin reflecting the period between March 1944-February 1945, so she must have arrived at the base between 1945 and 1946. The March 15, 1946 hospital roster records 2LT Elise D. Grant at TAAF, but the July 15, 1946 roster mentioned that she had separated from the service as a first lieutenant. She was later married to William Beasley, Senior and continued her career as a registered nurse. According to her obituary in the March 26, 2008 Fresno Bee, Elise D. Beasley lived in Fresno, California and died March 21, 2008. She is buried at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, California.
