Alice P. Binford

2LT Lieutenant Alice P. Binford was born November 14, 1919 in Virginia. She was commissioned into the Army Nurse Corps from the 3rd Service Command at Baltimore, Maryland in 1943. She was a dispensary nurse on the base. According to the station hospital roster, she had been promoted to first lieutenant and was one of the five remaining nurses on the base before its closing. She was the roommate of 1LT Louise Lomax. According to the Dozier nurse newsletter from LAAB of March 15, 1947, she had reported from TAAF to LAAB in July 1946 or thereafter. By the time she left the service, she had been promoted to captain. Alice Binford Harris died May 27, 1990 and is buried at the Fauquier Baptist Church Cemetery in Goochland County, Virginia.
