Second Lieutenant Alice M. Dunkley arrived at TAAF with Irma Cameron and Mary Rickards in 1943. Dunkley was a classmate of Mary Rickards in the class of 1940 and both were schoolmates of Irma Cameron who graduated later from the Harlem Hospital School of Nursing in New York. This nurse was born on December 10, 1916 in Baltimore, Maryland, although she also called Jamaica and New York home. Dunkley was a medical nurse on the base and also listed as a flight nurse in the station history. According to the July 15, 1946 roster, she was now a first lieutenant and had separated from the service. She married George Anderson, Sr. in 1948. She died on October 17, 1996 and is buried at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Maspeth, New York (Queens)
